The first 3 photos from September were taken on the morning of the 2009 Grand Finals. The grass is very green then! February 1st, 2010. The security fencing has been installed around the ground, ready for earthworks on the 2nd. It has finally started! February 2nd, 2010 There is a 4wd tractor and scraper starting to remove the topsoil. The turning of the soil also happened this morning with Adam Tyson the Baw Baw Shire Mayor present along with members of both WGHA and Baw Baw hockey looking on. February 3rd, 2010 All the grass of the original grass field has been removed into 2 heaps at opposite ends of the construction. The wooden fence along the driveway has been removed, along with the front gate leading to the pavilion. Watching the tractor doing its work, there is a lot of dust... February 4th, 2010 More earthmoving. There is now a roller and excavator on scene as well as the scraper. It has rained a bit in Drouin, so the dust has all settled now! February 5th, 2010 The scraper is now replaced with a smaller one. The ground is being made level ready for the lime stabilisation next week. email John Alexander with any comments or suggestions. |
