Round 2

Two defenders are attempting to tackle an opposition attacker

(ie 2 players onto 1)

Round 2 Winner: Gwen Mulconry from Aztecs.

“There is absolutely no reason or rule why a player cannot be tackled by one or more players at a time. No rule whatsoever.

The only obvious condition is that they tackle legally, meaning no physical contact to the stick or the body of the player "in possession" of the ball.

The object of every tackle "must" be to make the ball the one and only object. With two (or more) tackling, the umpire must be aware of when contact occurs before or after the tackles. It is hard for two (or more) to tackle legally but definitely possible.

 Round 1

The ball accidently hits the foot of a player?

Round 1 Winner: Gwen Mulconry from Aztecs.

Answer:This relates to Rule 9.11 which states "Field players must not stop, kick, propel, pick up, throw or carry the ball with any part of their body. It is not always an offence if the ball hits th efoot, hand or body of a field player. The player only commits an offence if they voluntarily use their hand, foot or body to play the ball or if they position themselves with the intention of stopping the ball in this way." In simple terms, if the player does not gain an advantage from the ball hitting the foot accidently, then the decision is to let play continue. If the player gains an advantage, it would be a free hit to the opposition, taken as per the free hit rule.
