This year has been defined by significant growth, both on and off the field, and a powerful sense of community spirit that resonates through every club,  team and age group.

We have witnessed our association continue to thrive, a testament to the dedication of our players, the unwavering commitment of our coaches and team managers, and the incredible support from our families and volunteers. U14 Mixed District 2025 Grand Final Gippsland Strikers vs KBH Brumbies

Strikers Crowned Champions After Thrilling Grand Final Against Brumbies Monash Field

Gippsland Strikers win! 5 - 4

Take Two Delivers a Grandstand Finish in an electrifying grand final showdown at Monash Field. The Strikers and the Brumbies delivered a classic contest that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

It was a tight, high-intensity match that ended in dramatic fashion, with the Strikers clinching the win and maintaining their undefeated record. The game ignited just one minute in when Josh Smorenburg opened the scoring for the Strikers, setting the tone for what would be a fiercely contested match. The Brumbies responded with grit and determination, particularly through their goalkeeper, who put on a standout performance to keep the Strikers at bay during key moments.

The first half was a tightly fought battle, with both teams locked at 2–2 heading into the break. The defensive effort from the Strikers was anchored by Levi Armstrong and Kyra Burke at half-back, and Caleb Ballantyne in the centre half position, both playing pivotal roles in halting the Brumbies' advances. Goal scorers for the Strikers included: Josh Smorenburg (1) Tayte Minicheillo(1) Tyler Boltong (1) Caleb Ballantyne (2).

The Brumbies also put up a strong fight, netting four goals and pushing the Strikers to the limit. But it was the final seconds that sealed the match's place in highlight reels — with the scores tied and the final whistle blown, Caleb Ballantyne unleashed a stunning after-the-whistle goal that secured victory for the Strikers. Final Score: Strikers – 5 Brumbies – 4 What a finish. What a team. The Strikers are once again crowned undefeated champions!
